Tilt your head back. Pull your eyelid back with a clean finger until a “pocket” appears between your eyelid and your eyelid; there should be a drop.
Place the drug in your eye, preferably in front of a mirror, to see what you are doing. If a drop gets into your eye, use another one.
Gently press your finger to the corner of your eye near your nose and close your eye, do not blink or open your eyes for about 2 minutes to allow the medication to be absorbed. This helps prevent the medicine from reaching the rest of the body.
