Humex cold is a medicine combining the association of three active ingredients, a nasal decongestant vasoconstrictor (pseudoephedrine), an analgesic (paracetamol) and an antihistamine (chlorphenamine). It is indicated for the treatment of colds in adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: it will relieve the sensation of a blocked nose, clear nasal discharge, headaches and/or fever.
Humex cold has the particularity of containing tablets to be taken during the day and a capsule to be taken at night, whose compositions differ.
Due to the risk of drowsiness induced by the active antihistamine substance , it is only present in the capsule to be taken at night.
Thus, the tablet to be taken during the day contains 500 mg of paracetamol 500 mg and 60 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.
The excipients are composed of microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate and povidone K 30.
The night capsule contains 500 mg of paracetamol 500 mg and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate.
The excipients are composed of talc, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate and colloidal anhydrous silica.
The capsule shell is composed of titanium dioxide, erythrosine, indigotine, and gelatin.
