The drug Alopexyl 5% is indicated in the treatment of moderate hair loss in male subjects, in cases of androgenic alopecia . It comes in the form of a solution intended to be applied locally to the scalp.
One ml of solution contains 50 mg of minoxidil and the excipients are: propylene glycol, 96% ethanol and purified water.
How to use Alopexy 5%?
The usual dose is 1 ml to be applied twice a day to the scalp area to be treated. It takes about two months before you notice a stimulation of hair growth . The time and level of response depends on each individual, your doctor will prescribe a dosage and duration of treatment adapted to your situation. Never exceed the daily dose of 2 ml.
Alopexy 5% is applied only to the scalp (do not apply it to another part of the body). It should be applied to a healthy, dry scalp starting with the central part of the area to be treated, then the product will be spread evenly over the entire area. Please wash your hands before and after each application.
Alopexy 5% comes in a sprayer with applicators. This system allows the delivery of 1 ml of active substance.
To use it, you click the cannula into the pump, then remove the cap from the bottle and insert the sprayer with the cannula onto the bottle. Then just prime the pump, and you can proceed with the application by pressing once. It takes 6 presses to deliver 1 ml of solution. Finally, the cannula must be rinsed with hot water after use.
