Fluormex gel 50 g The drug for the prevention of caries. Aminofluorides limit the adhesion and colonization of bacteria on the tissues of the tooth and the formation of plaque, as well as block the dentinal tubules, which helps to reduce tooth hypersensitivity. Fluorine contained in aminofluorides protects enamel and dentin. Fluorine ions are embedded in the crystal lattice of tooth enamel, due to which minor damage to the enamel is remineralized. Absorption of fluoride through the oral mucosa is limited and amounts to less than 1% of the daily intake. Within 24 hours, 50% of fluorine is excreted in the urine, 15-25% - with faeces and sweat, and the remaining amount is bound in solid tissues. The concentration of fluoride in dentin increases with age and is higher near the pulp than at the enamel-dentin interface.
