Insert 1 vaginal pessary as deep as possible into the vagina once a day. Vaginal pessaries can be easily inserted without an applicator. It is best to do this in the evening so that the antiseptic works while you sleep.
Because the pessary melts into the vagina, it is recommended that you wear panty liners to avoid staining your underwear. If the laundry becomes soiled, it can usually be removed with warm soapy water. Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation. During treatment, do not use tampons.
If necessary, especially in the case of Candida albicans infection, 2 vaginal suppositories per day, one in the morning and one in the evening, can be used. The duration of treatment depends on the improvement of your symptoms, but should not exceed 10 days. If symptoms do not improve within 10 days, contact your doctor.

Good tolerability and a wide spectrum of action of povidone-iodine are especially appreciated in preparation for surgery and disinfection of wounds. Thus, povidone-iodine is one of the most widely used active ingredients in gynecological surgeries worldwide.
